Getting a call that I had won something was the greatest validation that I was making some good choices. I knew I was excited about where this new direction was going and this has boosted my confidence and desire to make more.

Place is very evocative. Memories and nostalgia of places we spent in happy times, with people we love, on adventures and just the ordinary day in our own backyard. A space to contemplate, to consider. To just watch the clouds passing and bees in the garden.
I currently have a sweet little series of 3 paintings called 'They Make Each Other Look Better' available at Linden New Art in St Kilda. They were a fabulous opportunity to work in a collection and I share my thoughts on that process here.
I've just returned from a week away in a very happy place. An art exhibition with a dear friend on the surf coast in summer. Happy happy happy. It wasn't half as harrowing as I thought so I put together some tips that helped it run smoothly.
I'm so drawn to city walls, city architecture, city colours and city life. To me, it's a landscape just as fulfilling as a countryside landscape. Always changing, prone to the weather, building up layers of history and stories and altered with time.
