EXHIBITION

I've just had a lovely opportunity to join 3 friends and fellow artists in a sweet exhibition in Apollo Bay over the Easter weekend. Sadly, I couldn't join in person (I won't go into it, just know it involves a shoulder dislocation gasp !!)

Frustratingly, I had a last minute list a mile long that involved power tools, heavy lifting, a photoshoot and packing. With one arm out of action in a sling. I tell you, the kindness of people who whole-heartedly jump to a cry for help has been overwhelming. 

I was planning a snazzy photoshoot, but the work laid out on my table is as fancy as it gets. And you know what, sometimes that's all that's needed. I love seeing them laid out together like this.

Heaven + Home is a small, thoughtful collection of works that circle around refuge, imagination, and that feeling of being held by a place (real or not).

The show brings together painting, collage and sculptural pieces, each reflecting on home as an emotional landscape and heaven as fleeting moments of light, wonder, and stillness.

For me, my pieces sit in that space I keep coming back to - sky, light, atmosphere… those moments that feel fleeting but somehow familiar.

I'll never stop chasing that feeling of awe and wonder.
