Nautical Knot Workshop - 26 Oct

Join me as I guide you through the art of beautiful and functional nautical knots in this hands-on workshop. You will learn how to make some of my best-selling knotted designs from Crayon Chick.

The workshop features a decorative sailor’s knot, commonly known as a Monkey’s Fist Knot, which has been cleverly modified to form a bead.  I'll will show you how to tie this knot to create your own keyrings and necklaces.  The class will give you the opportunity to customise your very own finished piece.

My background has been running an independent design brand since 2005. Exploring the history of knots and developing products and designs based on this fabulous and ancient craft was the core of my business. I've definitely got a few tricks up my sleeve to make this easy and fun!

The class is suitable for beginners and craft enthusiasts alike.  You will be guided through the steps to unleash your creativity as you master timeless techniques. All material is provided – just bring your enthusiasm!

You will learn

·      How to weave a nautical sailor’s knot

·      How to assemble and finish a completed finished piece to take home

·      How to make as many pieces as you like at home for friends and family
